~ Winter's Call ~

Deep in the magic of winter
Finding ourselves once again...
Across vails of snow, under blue-gray skies
All knowing the land will mend.
Waterfalls become crystal thrones;
Grasses glisten like silvery lace
Winter winds wearily sighing
Across many a window's face.
Cold threatens to take a breath away
Thoughts escape to abundant spring...
But now is what might be celebrated;
What a winterscape can bring.
Warm embering fire, the hearth of home,
Indoor places a heart can rest.
A time for reflection, learning and love
A "kind" of paradise, this winterfest?
Knowing that springtime pleasures,
And summer makes children of all;
Perhaps in the cascade of nature's plan
A gentle acceptance of winter's call.

~Whispering Hope~

If you see me in the shadows
speak softly.
Together we see a lush sunlit garden of colors and scents...
Deep green vines and silvery blue blossoms.
Faeries bestowing delights unimaginable!
We anticipate fragrance and textures that will sustain us.
Comfortable wonders here.
Visible peace.
Loving thoughts.
In fresh garden shadows of a new year....
For us....a promise of sunshine and hope.

~Seasonal Serenity~

Quiet, as gently falling snow softens the land.
Trees stand strong, elegant
wearing their snow proudly as if
whispering oh let me live 50 winters more of my woodland journey...
Coyote runs in the distance,
caution stopping him briefly to survey his woods......then onward.
Quiet, but for occasional music from the red bird's song.
Diamonds in rays of sun glistened snow.
Sapphire sky and emerald pines fill the billowing land.
Precious jewels of nature.
I lift my cap to the beauty!
God scatters it about o'er the wide earth and tells us all it is ours.
Quiet, but for the voice of splendor in a snowy woods.
